    Description

    This is a finely engraved card, done by Bailey, Banks and Biddle of Philadelphia, of The Ebbitt House, Washington City, D.C., U.S.A.  At the time it was managed by Burch & Gibbs.  The House was originally built in 1856, and enlarged in 1872.  This illustration is that of the second hotel.  3" X 4 3/8"
