1968 Moog Tire Wear 3-D Single Sided Masonite & Plastic Display Sign:

This is a pretty cool display from Moog, from 1968!  It is a single sided Masonite advertising display sign that has four 3-D plastic tires off to the sides showing different wear patterns on the tires and what you may need to do to rectify the problem.  This displays VERY well!  The 3-D tires are a GREAT marketing technique to draw attention not only to the sign, but to the four different wear symptoms that your tires may be exhibiting.  The sign measures 35.75” tall, 34.5” wide, and about 1.5” deep.  There is a mounting hole in the center at the top that allows it to be hung on a wall or it can be set on the floor on its level bottom.  VERY COOL!  The bottom right corner of the sign is copyrighted 1968 by Moog Industries, Inc.  On the bottom left side, it states Made in U.S.A. – Printed in U.S.A. Adv 163.  The overall condition of this sign is excellent, but it does have a few minor imperfections to mention.  The top right edge of the green tire panel and the top left corner of the blue tire panel have mars in them like something hit them and tore the Masonite surface, but not real bad.  They are tough to see unless you are looking for them!  The far bottom left edge of the side has a broken and missing small corner, but again, unless you look for it, you probably won’t even notice.  Otherwise, there are a few other minor nicks and scratches, but nothing major.  Since this sign is 52 years old, I’ve give it some slack!  It looks GREAT, but is short of perfect.  The Masonite surface is in great shape with great graphic and lettering  The colors are all nice with no sign of any fading.  And this is a VERY colorful sign!  This is a VERY cool 3-D advertising sign that is in very nice shape and displays very well.  This will make a great addition to any Moog, petroliana, automobile, general store, or generic advertising themed collection!
